With building anticipation of Black Radio (which will be in stores tomorrow, 2/28), a healthy sample of what’s in store from The Robert Glasper Experiment has been mixedrecorded and packaged up nicely, thanks to Frolab & All the Way Live.  The live recordings come from shows in NYC, Paris and Montreux with appearances from Yasiin Bey, Bilal, Phonte, and some other nice additions.

The second release in Bilal’s Valentine’s Day countdown has been bestowed upon us.  His voice…like butter.  Smooth, rich and made to spread.  I hope that “Cake & Eat It Too” is amongst his favorites so that, it too, can join its lively brethren in V-Day bliss.

This is one of my favorite tracks from Bilal’s 2010 release Airtight’s Revenge.  I remember seeing him perform at Center Stage in Atlanta last year.  Damn near had me boohooing in my seat.  The release of this acoustic version of “Think It Over” is most definitely a treat.  Bilal’s voice beckons you to close your eyes and crawl inside that memory that you once loved but may need to forget.  A love lost.  Le muhfuckin’ sigh.

Okayplayer has the drop on the exclusive audio from Bilal’s soulful, tear-inducing acoustic performance at Red Velvet Studio and will be releasing three more of these gems up until Valentine’s Day.

Enjoy.  Try not to cry.
