Every Friday someone asks me, “what’s happ’nin’ this weekend??” This will be the place for you to find out. If you have an event you’d like to submit to be featured, email me with the subject “Event Submission.” I’ll feature it, along with other events happening within the same time frame. If it’s particularly dope, I’ll feature a more detailed write-up of your event.
(Right now, most events featured will be in Atlanta, since that’s my base. I’m open to events country and world-wide though!)

- The Beatz & Lyrics Show A3C Showcase – There are soooo many stages going up for A3C this week but I have a personal affinity for this one. Jay Force is celebrating 15 years of The Beatz & Lyrics Show by curating a showcase with some of the livest MCs he’s shown support to.
- Dungeon and Dragons – Dungeon Family business. Hosted by Killer Mike, performances from 1st generation DF members Backbone, Slimm Calhoun, WitchDoctor, Cool Breeze, and Lil Will. Scotty ATL will be in that thang too @ The Loft 8PM | $20/ADV$25/DOS
- Joe Kay of Soulection – Come to dance. Your body won’t give you a choice. @ The Sound Table 11PM | $10

- A3C 2nd Annual Best Block Party Ever – Damn right! Black Thought, J. Period, Talib Kweli and a host of others will throw down at the A3C finale. Hosea Feed the Hungry & Homeless will be on hand to collect canned good donations and lightly worn clothing @ A3C Main Stage in Old 4th Ward 2PM | Free with pass or RSVP
